Next Engineers Cincinnati offers a Free Engineering Summer Camp Series at the University of Cincinnati for students in grades 8 and 9 to be introduced to the engineering process.
In June 2024, Next Engineers Cincinnati will offer a series of summer engineering camps for students who have just completed grades 8 and 9. Participants are introduced to the engineering process through week-long camp experiences.
Experienced engineering faculty, staff, GE Aerospace volunteers, and business leaders interact with 8th and 9th graders. Participants will complete design challenges inspired by real-world scenarios, such as building bridge prototypes and creating pressure-powered cars. Each week offers hands-on engineering activities, mentorship opportunities from GE employees, and a parent showcase lunch on Friday afternoon.
