Expecting mothers and their families are invited to celebrate one of life’s most exciting milestones at the 5th Annual Fades or Braids Gender Reveal & Community Shower, hosted by Breastfeeding Outreach for Our Beautiful Sisters (BOOBS). Taking place on Saturday, October 10, at the United Way, this special event combines education, support, and celebration for growing families throughout the community.
Designed specifically for expecting mothers, the annual community shower provides an opportunity to connect with local resources, learn about healthy pregnancy and infant care practices, and prepare for the arrival of a new baby. Attendees will receive valuable information on breastfeeding, early infant-feeding practices, and other topics that help parents build a strong foundation for their child’s health and well-being.
In addition to educational sessions and community resource connections, guests can enjoy an afternoon filled with fun, fellowship, and excitement. The event will feature free food, games, prizes, giveaways, and special surprises, along with a memorable group gender-reveal celebration that allows families to share in the joy of welcoming their newest additions.
Mothers who attend may also have access to free baby essentials and support items, including diapers, wipes, baby monitors, and other much-needed supplies. These giveaways are designed to help ease the transition into parenthood while ensuring families have access to resources that support their growing needs.
The Fades or Braids Gender Reveal & Community Shower continues to serve as a meaningful community event that uplifts and empowers expecting mothers through education, encouragement, and practical support.
