Attend Heroines of Our History at Heritage Village Museum on April 27.
Heroines of Our History celebrates some of the extraordinary women in Ohio who made history during the 1800s and early 1900s. Meet interpreters in historical clothing. Enjoy hands-on activities, vendors, non-profit booths, and more!
Interpreters in historical clothing will portray the following historical figures:
- Sharpshooter Annie Oakley
- Pilot Ruth Law
- Chef Edy Fossett
Visitors can also meet reenactors portraying women who lived in the homes in the Village, as well as women representing a shopkeeper, a printer, and a nurse. Enjoy a presentation in the church on women’s roles during the Civil War.
Tickets to Heroines of Our History
Admission is $12 per adult, $8 per child ages 5-11, and free for members and children ages four and
under. For families with SNAP benefits, adult tickets are $5 and children ages 11 and under are free.
Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more people.
Luncheon Option
Join Heritage Village Museum for a boxed lunch before Heroines of Our History from 11 a.m. to noon. Meet the Heroines before the crowds arrive. Choose from a chicken salad croissant or a vegetarian Mediterranean wrap. Tickets for the luncheon include admission into the Heroines of Our History event from noon – 4 p.m. after the luncheon.
About Heritage Village Museum
Heritage Village Museum and Educational Center is a picturesque gathering of 13 authentic historical buildings representing various aspects of family life during the 1800s. These buildings include historic homes, a train station, a doctor’s office, a general store, a church, and a schoolhouse.

Accessible parking and drop-off locations can be provided upon request. Please call 513-563-9484 to arrange this service. Task-trained service animals are welcomed. A designated quiet area is available to guests.
