Ohio River Foundation brings The Wild & Scenic Film Festival to Cincinnati on Friday, April 19, at the Woodward Theater in Over-the-Rhine.
The South Yuba River Citizens League started the Wild & Scenic Film Festival in 2003. The festival works with environmental groups across the US to host local film festivals. These festivals aim to reach their communities, inspire activism, increase awareness for grassroots environmental causes, and generate critical funds. The festival provides a community understanding of our connection with the planet and our role as stewards of future generations.
The festival will feature short films from talented environmental filmmakers worldwide.
Wild & Scenic on Tour is occurring nationwide in Chicago, Houston, Washington DC, and many others.

The 5-day event features over 150 award-winning films and welcomes over 100 guest speakers, celebrities, and activists who bring a human face to the environmental movement. The home festival kicks off the international tour to communities around the globe, allowing SYRCL to share its success as an environmental group with other organizations.
The festival is a natural extension of ORF’s work to inspire people to act on behalf of the environment. ORF hopes to use the festival to provide community understanding of our connection with the planet and our role as stewards to keep it healthy for the next generations.

Ohio River Foundation
Ohio River Foundation (ORF) is a regional conservation non-profit in Cincinnati, Ohio. Proceeds from the event will support ORF’s exciting education, restoration, and advocacy programs that fulfill its mission to protect and improve the ecology in the Ohio River watershed, a source of drinking water for more than five million people. The Ohio River Watershed stretches across 200,000 square miles, 14 states, and is home to 25 million people.
ORF is dedicated to protecting and improving the water quality and ecology of the Ohio River and all waters in its 14-state watershed. ORF works towards these goals through environmental education and conservation activities that inspire environmental stewardship and bolster climate change resiliency for native species, habitats, and communities.

Woodward Theater
Parking
Woodward visitors have plenty of parking options, including metered parking, garages, and surface lots. Ziegler Park Garage is located one block east of the Woodward Theater on the corner of Sycamore and 14th Streets. Arrive using Cincinnati METRO.
Accessibility
The Woodward Theater is ADA-compliant, including entry and bathrooms. Seating is always available, and there are two metered accessible parking spaces within 50 feet of the main entrance. Guests can email any special requests before attending a show or event, and the venue will be happy to accommodate.
