SHARP – The Seven Hills School Academic Readiness Program provides students entering grades 5–9 with a pathway to private school education.

The Seven Hills Academic Readiness Program (SHARP) offers students from historically underrepresented communities entering grades 5–9 a clearer path to the opportunities available at independent schools. The SHARP Summer Program session consists of ten classes that will take place from July 22 – August 2, from 9 a.m.– 3 p.m. at The Seven Hills School Hillsdale Campus.

SHARP Summer Eligibility

Will be enrolled in grades 5–9 in the coming school year and are considering applying to a local independent school such as Seven Hills in the future.

The SHARP Summer Program includes ten days of classes at The Seven Hills School, Hillsdale Campus, from July 22 to August 2. Classes take place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

SHARP Summer Student Objectives

  • Prepare for the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE), the Seven Hills admissions essay, and other aspects of the independent school admission process
  • Engage in fun and challenging learning activities across subject areas
  • Explore Seven Hills arts programs, experiential learning, and athletics
  • Meet current students and alumni
  • Learn about scholarships, grants, and payment options

SHARP Summer Registration Deadline

Registration for the SHARP 2024 summer session is due by July 15, though we encourage early registration as spaces are limited. Students who participated in the SHARP school year session during the 2023-24 school year will be given priority enrollment in the SHARP 2024 summer session.

SHARP Summer Registration Costs

About The Seven Hills School

The Seven Hills School is a private school that offers choices for preschool/early childhood education, elementary school, middle school, and high school. The Seven Hills School has two campuses – one in Madisonville and one in Walnut Hills.

Seven Hills has been named to the Advanced Placement School Honor Roll, earning a Platinum distinction. Under the leadership of Chris Garten, Head of School (Superintendent), Niche.com ranks The Seven Hills School as the number one college prep school in the Cincinnati area.

The average class size is 15 students, with a 9:1 student-teacher ratio. The Seven Hills School students hail from more than 60 ZIP codes in the greater Cincinnati area. Students of color comprise 39 percent of the school’s population.

The Seven Hills School has championship-caliber athletic facilities and a new Schiff Performing Arts Center. About 80 percent of students participate in athletics.

The upper (high school) and middle (junior high) schools feature more than 40 extracurricular clubs and after-school activities. Activities range in focus from mock trials to community service, Science Olympiad, anime, and sports broadcasting.
