Cincinnati USA Regional  Chamber Professional  Development Programs offer tools and experiences to help millennials chart their career paths and crystalize their career plans. Cincy Next is a seven-month program to develop emerging leaders, and C-Change is a 10-month program to develop mid-level leaders.

 

Applications for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s two leadership development programs for young professionals are now accepting applications through Friday, November 22. Cincy Next

 

Cincinnati young professional groups
Cincy Next grad receives a certificate.

The professional development program, Cincy Next, is designed for young persons and emerging leaders (early twenties – early thirties); with eight or fewer years of experience. Candidates should seek connection and development professionally and in the community, demonstrate leadership potential and interest in growing in these skills, and a desire to connect with other young talents from across the region.

 

The curriculum includes professional development topics from personal branding, public speaking, and conflict management to goal-setting, personal finance, networking, and more. The timeframe for this program is April – November.

Cincy Next 2020 Dates

 

Opening Reception: Wednesday, April 1, 4-7 p.m.
Venture Out! Overnight Retreat: Friday, April 10 to Saturday, April 11
Session Dates:

  • May 6
  • June 3
  • July 8
  • August 5
  • September 2
  • October 7

*Monthly Sessions are on the first Wednesday of each month, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., except July 8.
Graduation Celebration & Reception: Wednesday, November 4, 5-8 p.m. (tentative)

 

All-inclusive tuition for the program is $2,700 for Cincinnati Chamber members ($3,700 for Non-Chamber members) and includes overnight retreats, sessions, meals, and supplies. Partial grants are available by request. The application includes a personal reference, a  headshot, a $50 application fee, and questions.

C-Change

 

Cincinnati young professional groups
C-Change Class 13 at Camp Joy

The professional development program, C-Change, is designed for advancing mid-career leaders (30s-mid 40s) seeking to activate and enhance leadership capabilities. Candidates should desire to increase connections and impact on and with the region, expand professional and personal networks, and continue developing and practicing leadership skills.

 

Group projects are a component of C-Change. Participants will work in smaller teams on a community project throughout the year. Each participant is expected to be actively and fully engaged with their project, which may include time outside scheduled sessions. The timeframe for this program is April – February.

  • Regional history, including a tour of Cincinnati landmarks

Venture Out! Overnight Retreat: Friday, March 13 to Saturday, March 14

  • Wednesday, April 8, 3-6 p.m. (Project Work Session)

  • November 18
