About Sprouting Minds
Sprouting Minds is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in February 2019 by program developer Jordan Payne. While working as a behavioral health specialist, Jordan developed a therapeutic horticulture group for clients in a partial medical program.
Following multiple successful campaigns, several non-profits reached out to develop their own therapeutic horticulture programs, promoting mental health and resilience, and Sprouting Minds was born.
At Sprouting Minds, we are dedicated to nurturing the emotional and psychological growth of children who have faced trauma, through the transformative power of gardening. Sprouting Minds is currently responsible for over five therapeutic gardens in southeastern Ohio and Indiana.
