Stunning shoes is the only assignment for the Sole Fresh Sole Clean Fundraiser at the Savannah Center on May 18. Join the Queen City (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, for an afternoon of lunch, prizes, and music from 2nd Wind. Proceeds will support the signature Girls Steam Academy (GSA) program and Nouveau Chamber Players.

About the 2nd Wind Band

2nd Wind is one of Cincinnati’s most sought-after show bands, giving concert-level performances at every stop. 2nd Wind performs Motown classics, Top 40 hits, old and new school R&B, pop, classic rock, and smooth jazz.

About Girls STEAM Academy

In 2014, the Queen City (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated created the Girls STEAM Academy. Upon acceptance, 6th and 7th graders remain in the program throughout their 12th-grade year of high school. The Girls STEAM Academy provides fun, exciting, and educational enrichment workshops and activities designed to:

  • Increase interest in science, technology, engineering, art, and math
  • Provide authentic experiences that stimulate and increase STEAM proficiency
  • Create strong teen leaders who can effectively work with others

About the Nouveau Chamber Players

Students pursuing a music career may audition to become a Nouveau Fellow. The Nouveau Fellowship is a comprehensive training experience for students.

The Nouveau Chamber Players is a select chamber group of students who play at an advanced level. The instrumentation is flexible depending on program membership.

In 2005, Queen City (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, was chartered as the 275th chapter in Linkdoms’ International Chain, with the Village of Lincoln Heights as the primary service area. The chapter charted with 41 members and has since implemented several programs.

The Links, Incorporated is an organization comprised of women of African heritage committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the identities, culture, and economic survival of all people of African origin through cultural, educational, and civic programs. Through their partnerships, the organization promotes activism to help bring positive changes transcending time, race, and socio-economic differences.
