Art, Galleries, and Museums

American Sign Museum  

1330 Monmouth Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45225 (Camp Washington) 
The American Sign Museum is the premier institution for preserving historic signs and promoting the sign industry’s contributions to commerce, culture, and the American landscape. Discounted senior admission includes access to over 100 years of signage and art. 

Behringer-Crawford Museum  

1600 Montague Rd, Covington, KY 41011 (Northern Kentucky)    
The museum offers a small exhibit on the first floor highlighting Pullman Porters, featuring photographs and advertisements. Discounted senior admission includes access to exhibits, cultural events, and historical collections. 

Cincinnati Art Museum 

953 Eden Park Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45202 (Mt. Adams) 
The museum features a diverse, encyclopedic art collection of over 73,000 works spanning 6,000 years. Free general admission includes access to the museum’s year-round exhibits, including the African Art Collection and the Two Sisters Painting.   

Contemporary Art Center 

44 E 6th Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202 (Downtown) 
The museum showcases works by emerging and established artists, providing a platform for diverse voices. Offers access to contemporary art exhibits featuring innovative installations, sculptures, and multimedia displays. 

Cincinnati Museum Center 

1301 Western Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45203 (West End) 
The Museum features museums, exhibits, and an OMNIMAX theater inside the historic Union Terminal. Discounted senior admission offers entrance to permanent exhibits, special exhibitions, and the Cincinnati History Museum. 

Harriet Beecher Stowe House 

2950 Gilbert Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45206 (East Walnut Hills) 
The museum features exhibits on abolition, the Underground Railroad, and Harriet Beecher Stowe’s legacy. Discounted senior tickets include a guided tour with a dedicated educator, admission to the rotating temporary exhibit, and access to the outdoor exhibit on the historic site grounds.  

4038 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45223 (Northside)  
A Black-owned art gallery showcasing traditional and contemporary art and artifacts from Sub-Saharan Africa, including statues, sculptures, masks, textiles, and ceramics. Admission is free, and some pieces are available to buy.  

Kennedy Heights Arts Center 

6546 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45213 (Kennedy Heights) 
Kennedy Heights Arts Center’s mission is to enhance the surrounding community’s life through arts and cultural experiences that embrace diversity, foster creativity, and build community. Free admission includes access to both rotating and permanent exhibitions in the Kennedy and Lindner Galleries. 

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center  

50 E Freedom Way, Cincinnati, OH 45202 (Downtown) 
The museum’s notable exhibits include The Slave Pen, Brothers of the Border Land, and From Slavery to Freedom. Senior discount admission provides access to exhibits, interactive displays, and programs highlighting freedom and justice. Enjoy free admission on the fifth and third Sunday of each month. 

Taft Museum of Art 

316 Pike Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202 (Downtown)  
The museum offers free admission on Sundays and Mondays to view galleries, including American master paintings, Chinese porcelains, and European decorative arts. Make sure to visit the historic Duncanson Murals, painted by the famous African American landscape artist. Discounted senior admission is available on other days of the week.  

650 Walnut St, Cincinnati, OH 45202 (Downtown) 
The Weston offers one-on-one assistance and support to artists to showcase their work in museum-quality environs through a diverse slate of exhibitions. Free admission provides views of the galleries on two levels and 3,500 square feet of exhibition space.

A Place 4 Seniors

The senior social club provides a safe, family-oriented environment for seniors to socialize, engage in stimulating activities, and enjoy freshly prepared meals. The program is offered to seniors 65 years of age and older.

Lincoln Heights Outreach Inc. Adult Day Service

Provides a lively, supportive space where seniors can enjoy a wide range of games that boost memory, spark conversation, and encourage social connection.

Pay What You Can at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park

The playhouse presents live theater performances in Eden Park. Pay what you can. Performances are only in the Rouse Theater on special days; check each show for details. 

Cincinnati Opera

Cincinnati Opera presents world-class performances at Music Hall. Discounted senior admission offers access to select shows and matinees. 

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company

The performing company is known for its intimate performances, talented resident ensemble, and community outreach efforts. Senior discount admission allows seniors to enjoy professional theater, including Shakespearean classics and modern productions.

Senior activities include a memory cafe, a golden hour for the retired, computer classes, yard crafters, and more. All library events are free.  

Harriet Beecher Stowe House Walking Tours

Riverside Dr, Covington, KY 41011 (Covington) 
Learn about the women and men who built Queen City and Walnut Hills and have invested in the neighborhood for the past 200 years. This walk will last just under two hours and cover about 1.3 miles. The walking tour starts and ends in Walnut Hills and ranges from free admission to discounted rates.

Covington Black History Tour 

E 11th St, Covington, KY 41011 (Northern Kentucky) 
The walking tour highlights the history and accomplishments of African Americans in Northern Kentucky, as well as the city’s art and architecture. General admission is free.

Cincinnati Recreation Commission Congregate Meals 

Multiple locations 
CRC seniors can take part in congregate meals at many CRC centers. Seniors must call by 9:30 a.m. to reserve lunch for the next day. A donation of $1.25 is suggested for each meal.

Transportation 

Metro Fair Deal Program  

The Metro Fare Deal program offers discounted bus fares for eligible seniors, individuals with disabilities, and Access Program participants. This initiative helps ensure affordable and accessible public transportation for seniors. 

Cincinnati Streetcar 

The Connector is an electric streetcar that operates along a 3.6-mile loop connecting Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine and Banks neighborhoods via the Central Business District. The connector is free to use.  

Gest Carts 

A free, accessible cart transportation for community members while eliminating the harmful effects of congestion on the environment and quality of life.

Provides free rides for eligible adults in Hamilton and Clermont County until funding is exhausted. For individuals who need specialized transportation but are not eligible for grant-funded rides, a private-pay option is available.
